We collect no personal information about you when you visit a DOE web site, unless otherwise stated and unless you choose to provide this information to us. However, we collect and store certain information automatically. What we collect and store automatically is:

We use the summary statistics to help us make our site more useful

If you use the Public Comment Form on this web site to provide a public comment on the Wind Energy Development Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (Wind Energy Development Programmatic EIS), or send a Wind Energy Development Programmatic EIS public comment by e-mail, your comment and personal information you send with it may be forwarded to the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management or their contractors for processing, review, and/or response as part of the EIS process. Your comment may also be posted on a publicly available Web site. Personal information you submit with a public comment may also be posted with the comment on a publicly available Web site, unless you indicate at the time the comment is submitted that you do not wish to have your personal information made available as part of the public record. It is US Department of the Interior policy that any information collected may be subject to disclosure, but will be handled in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act and the Freedom of Information Act to ensure the greatest protection of personal privacy in the face of any required disclosure.
